Kelly Linehan is an independent educational consultant, a coach for students in grades 9-12 that are navigating the college process. Working on behalf of students and families, she helps them to understand what colleges really want in applicants and how to find colleges that will be a good academic, social, and financial fit. Under Kelly’s guidance, students learn which individualized steps to take to improve their odds for acceptances and scholarships: college success without the stress!
Kelly’s perspective on the application process is unique as she is also a National Board Certified educator and a parent. Having worked with adolescents for over two decades, she understands the challenges of the college process from both professional and personal experience. Her Certificate in College Admissions Counseling is through the University of California, and she has contacts with hundreds of college admissions officers and educational consultants around the country. She is an Associate Member of IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association), an internationally recognized professional organization that requires the highest ethical standards for its members.
In addition to her College Counseling Certificate, Kelly’s education includes a BA magna cum laude from Colgate University, a teaching MA from the University at Albany, National Board Teacher Certification, and graduate work at Middlebury College and the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain.
